Track and manage all website and app events in a single dataset. Monitor event quality, debug payloads, and ensure data accuracy across all touchpoints.
CAPI (Conversions API) setup
Set up server-side event tracking via the Conversions API. Improve match rates, reduce data loss from browser restrictions, and future-proof your tracking.
Custom audience creation
Build custom audiences from your dataset events. Create lookalike audiences, retarget high-intent users, and segment by event parameters for precision targeting.
How Clients Connect
Three steps to dataset access.
1
Select Meta Dataset
Choose the Meta Dataset asset when creating your connect link in Joiyn.
2
Client authorises
Your client clicks the link, logs into Facebook, and grants access to their dataset.
3
Dataset access live
You can immediately manage events, configure CAPI, and build audiences from the dataset.
Dataset management, simplified.
Your client authorises access in minutes. You immediately see all events, configure server-side tracking, and build audiences from the dataset — no manual Business Manager navigation required.
Use Cases
Built for data-driven agencies.
Server-side tracking setup
Implement Conversions API alongside browser pixel to maximise event data reliability and match rates for better optimisation.
Data quality improvement
Audit event payloads, fix deduplication issues, and ensure all required parameters are sent correctly for every conversion event.
Privacy-compliant tracking
Move tracking server-side to reduce reliance on cookies. Maintain accurate attribution while respecting user privacy and platform policies.
FAQ
Common questions.
What's the difference between Pixel and Dataset?
Meta rebranded Pixel to Dataset in Events Manager. A Dataset is the container that holds both browser-side (Pixel) events and server-side (Conversions API) events. When you access a Dataset via Joiyn, you get full control over both tracking methods in one place.
How does CAPI work with Joiyn?
Once you have Dataset access through Joiyn, you can configure the Conversions API directly in Events Manager. Joiyn provisions the access permissions — you then set up server-side events using your preferred method (direct integration, partner platform, or Gateway).
Can I manage multiple datasets?
Yes. If your client has multiple datasets (e.g., one per website or app), you can request access to all of them in a single Joiyn connect flow. Each dataset appears as a selectable asset during authorisation.
What data does Dataset capture?
Datasets capture all event data sent via the browser Pixel and Conversions API, including page views, purchases, leads, add-to-carts, and custom events. You can also see event parameters, user data matching quality, and deduplication status.
